Projects
In 2020 Sphinx Theatre celebrated their 30th anniversary, and to mark the occasion they launched Sphinx 30 , a brand new playwright development programme designed to inspire and support 30 women writers over the course of the year. The programme included four all-day labs and workshops, and will conclude with a series of showcase events as a celebration of 30 years of Sphinx Theatre.

A Berlin Kabaret
Inspired by the journey of Bertolt Brecht and his collaborator, composer Hanns Eisler, from the Weimer Republic, through wartime Germany, to the damning McCarthy era of post-war America and back again, A Berlin Kabaret is an unexpected and superlative theatrical cabaret. Five-star performers sing classic songs of resistance, love and exile in a celebration of 20’s Weimar Cabaret; play with the patriotism and propaganda of the second Red Scare in America; then witness the desolation of post-war Europe and the hope that could be found in the rubble.
